<p>What a pain!<br />
I know I&#8217;m not connected, but it won&#8217;t let me connect.<br />
The problem here is with the error message.<br />
Really what they meant to say was &#8216;there is a share in use that is blocking you.  Go to command prompt and type<br />
 net use</p>
<p>Anything there?<br />
So delete it<br />
 net use /delete /(share name) </p>
<p>Now you&#8217;re good to go! </p>
